What the data show
Postdata's series shows a concentrated structure: COMCEL, Colombia Telecomunicaciones and Colombia Móvil together held 88.17% of mobile voice subscribers. The ICT Ministry summarizes the total as 94.6 million active lines. The table keeps reporting providers separate even if two belong to the same corporate group; it must not be read as a share by economic group. It does not measure unique people, revenue, coverage or quality. No quarterly change is calculated until definitions and corporate changes have been checked for continuity.
What cannot be concluded
The observation refers to the first quarter of 2026, not September. The CSV's landing page does not state an exact update date for the file; the official bulletin for the same period was released on August 6, 2026. 'Other reporting providers' combines six small providers, including one that reported zero subscribers; missing data are not converted into zero. This dataset does not separately identify inactive lines or wholesale accesses here, so the total is not adjusted.
Methodology
Rows with ANNO=2026 and TRIMESTRE=1 are filtered from Postdata's 'Mobile voice subscribers' CSV. PREPAGO and POSPAGO are summed by ID_PROVEEDOR, without adding host or virtual providers outside the reported rows. The 12 providers total 94,563,660. 'Other' comprises ETB 170,127, LOV 196,060, SUMA 53,974, LIWA 14,603, PLINTRON 12,912 and Flash 0: 447,676. Brand names in parentheses identify the provider; categories are reporting entities, not ownership groups. Share = category subscribers ÷ 94,563,660 × 100, rounded to two decimals. MinTIC's rounded bulletin figure corroborates the scale but does not replace the CSV denominator.
