What the data show
This snapshot shows a concentrated structure: MASORANGE, Movistar, Vodafone and DIGI account for 98.16% of these lines. The MVNO category combines mobile virtual network operators that the series does not break out. These are recorded lines, not unique people or revenue. No monthly change is calculated: comparing periods requires checking Onmovil’s inclusion in the MASORANGE group and the consistency of every category.
What cannot be concluded
The data refer to July 2026, not September. CNMC’s methodology says monthly figures are provisional and may be revised. This release does not break out inactive lines, so TelcoBrief does not subtract them or call the total “active customers.” Machine-to-machine (M2M) accesses are reported separately and excluded.
Methodology
Prepaid and postpaid rows are summed for July 2026, Spain, service “Mobile telephony,” concept “Lines,” and terminal “No terminal type.” The denominator is the sum of the five reported categories. Brands and MVNOs owned by a network operator are included in its group under CNMC’s methodology; “MVNO” is the remaining aggregate, not one operator. Wholesale and M2M accesses are excluded. Share = category lines ÷ 63,608,009 × 100, rounded to two decimals.
