Funds advised by Apax Partners agreed to buy Warburg Pincus's stake in Odido, a Dutch mobile and internet operator. The company announced the agreement on October 16. The parties disclosed neither the price nor a closing date. The transaction remains subject to regulatory approvals and consultation with employee representatives. [1][2]

Apax and Warburg Pincus have shared ownership of Odido since 2022, after acquiring the business from Deutsche Telekom and Tele2. If the sale closes, the Apax funds will take over their partner's stake. Odido says its management team and strategy will continue, and it plans further investment in the network and customer service. These are company plans, not measured results of a change in ownership. M&A and ANP covered the agreement from separate newsrooms, although its basic terms come from the parties' announcement. A valuation mentioned in earlier reports is not the undisclosed price of this stake sale. The archive photograph shows an Odido shop in Rotterdam in 2024; it does not show the signing of the agreement. [1][2][3]
